You may have received a consultation letter from Cornwall Council regarding the Reawla Streetscape project and we would be very grateful if you would return your comments to them whether you agree with the scheme or just part of it. Your comments are very important to us.
Just to give you a bit of background about the project, the project was initially the idea of Cornwall Councillor Ray Tovey to make the centre of Reawla more pedestrian friendly and help the whole community gain ownership and respect for the area. Cllr Tovey managed to secure £100,000 of section 106 money directly for use within the Parish on infrastructure projects. Without Cllr Tovey’s efforts, this money would have been put in a pot for use anywhere within the County.
The Parish Council agreed to take forward the project on behalf of Cllr Tovey last year and have since held 3 public consultation events regarding the streetscape plans. We will be holding another public consultation event, with the final verison of the street enhancement works on Wednesday 6th June 2012 at Gwinear Golf Pitch and Putt, Relistian Lane, Gwinear, TR27 5HE. We really hope you can come along and give us your thoughts.
We feel that without the efforts of Cllr Tovey this money would not be available to spend on our Parish and are very grateful for all his hard work. So I hope you will support us with our plans to improve the place you live in, for you and future generations.
