I’m Nigel Bawden and am fortunate to have worked and lived in Cornwall all my life , about 25 years of which have been enjoyed within the Gwinear-Gwithian parish.
I enjoyed an interesting career as a building society manager before moving to the public sector. I am now successfully self-employed operating businesses which I have started and run myself mainly focused on the industrial sector in Cornwall. I have also had previous business interests in tourism and agriculture.
Many friends have been welcoming in this beautiful parish we are privileged to live in and I have enjoyed my previous involvement on Connor Downs PTA, local show and charity committees in the past and continue to help out where we can.
I look forward to using my time on the Parish Council to work for the benefit of our community bringing an unusually wide perspective of having successfully worked in the private, public and self-employment sectors.
I am interested in various activities including walking, swimming, travel, skiing, chess and all aspects of coast and country life.
