May 6, 2025 | Parish News

National Highways is currently upgrading a number of weather stations on its road network to maintain safety and improve the journey for road users. They use roadside weather stations to collect information like road temperature and atmospheric conditions.

As part of these upgrades, the following works will be taking place on the A30 at Hayle:

  • Monday 12 May (8am to 6pm) westbound lay-by closed
  • Tuesday 13 May to Wednesday 14 May (8pm to 6am) eastbound and westbound full carriageway closure
  • Thursday 15 May to Thursday 22 May (8pm to 6am) weeknights only overnight temporary two-way traffic lights on the westbound carriageway. Westbound lay-by closed
  • Friday 23 May (8pm to 6am) overnight westbound lay-by closed
  • Monday 26 May to Friday 30 May (8am to 6pm) daytime westbound lay-by closure only
  • Wednesday 28 May (8pm to 6am) overnight temporary two-way lights with a switch with the westbound lay-by also closed. There will be a holding sequence in place whilst the switch takes place with an approximate 10 minute delay.

Please remember that closures can change at short notice. You can check the latest information on the daily closures page or find live travel information on the Traffic England website.
