Rights of Way Footpath Review

Oct 26, 2016 | Parish News

Gwinear-Gwithian Parish Council undertakes annual cutting of Footpaths, Bridleways and Byways (Rights of Way) across the Parish which equate to around 15000 metres We undertake this work through a Local Maintenance Partnership (LMP) on behalf of Cornwall Council who is the Highway Authority with the responsibility for Public Rights of Way.  There are currently 69 Public Rights of Way within our Parish and we only maintain 39 under the current LMP arrangement.

We would like to hear from you if you feel there should be any additions or removals of any Public Rights of Way or Structures (such as Gates or Stiles) for next year’s LMP (2017)

You can view Public Rights of Way via Cornwall Council’s Interactive Map via the following link:-

map.cornwall.gov.uk/ccmap/PublicRightsofWay and enter your address or area into the search bar.

You will need to put forward a strong case for the addition or removal of any Public Rights of Way or Structures from the current maintenance scheme so the more information you give us the better.

Please forward your comments to the Parish Council by Sunday 6th November 2016 for consideration.
