New service delivery – public questionnaire

Nov 2, 2016 | Parish News

This time last year we asked you whether you wanted us to take over some services Cornwall Council (CC) are no longer undertaking.  The outcome was very close with almost half those responding not wanting us to take over these services, therefore the Parish Council (PC) did not feel it had a clear enough mandate to undertake the services.

We have seen an increase in complaints in the past year, particularly for overgrown verges in village centres and weeds growing on highway footpaths but we can do little   about this if parishioners do not give us a clear mandate to budget for these services.

The PC has agreed to undertake this survey again to see if local opinion is still the same.

If you wish us to take on any of the services we will look to do this by Spring 2017.

You should receive a leaflet outlining this in November 2016. To view the leaflet click the following link – devolution-leaflet-oct-16 or fill the questionnaire at https://ggpc.org.uk/devolution-projects-public-questionnaire/
