Application for designation of a Neighbourhood Area
The Gwinear-Gwithian Parish Council is producing a Neighbourhood Plan for the Gwinear-Gwithian Parish area. The first formal stage of the process requires the parish council to apply to Cornwall Council for the Neighbourhood Area to be formally designated.
The Gwinear-Gwithian Parish Council has applied to Cornwall Council to designate the parish of Gwinear-Gwithian as a Neighbourhood Area, in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012, which came into force on Friday 6 April 2012.
If this designation is made no alternative plan may be designated for that Neighbourhood Area until that designation expires or is withdrawn.
The Council is consulting residents and other interested stakeholders on this application. Consultation will run between 4th April and 16th May 2013. You can comment by emailing us at neighbourhoodplanning@cornwall.gov.uk or send us your response in writing to the address at the bottom of the page.
Copies of the applications, which includes a copy of the application letter and a statement that explains how the City and Parish Councils and area meet the conditions of Section 61G(2) of the Town And Country Planning Act, 1990, as amended by the Localism Act 2011 are available to download below:
